The Waterside House Hotel, along with its sister hotel, The Station House Hotel, have both been shortlisted to win the Wedding Venue of the Year Award by weddingsonline.ie. The awards night will take place on February 20th 2012 so watch this space!! Fingers crossed we make it all the way. Thank you to all our loyal guests who voted for us.
The Waterside House Hotel, run and owned by the Slattery family, were delighted to host Dublin’s Inner City Older Persons Association Christmas bash for their 6thyear running at the weekend. This year was marked by a special guest, President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina, who paid a visit to this beach front hotel in Donabate, to congratulate and recognise the great work, efforts and contribution Tony Dunleavy (Chairman of the Association) and his committee have given the Inner city project over the years. The President was generous with his time and gave an emotional and sincere speech, thanking his audience for their support over his campaign in becoming Ireland’s ninth president.
President Higgins and his wife were greeted by Paul, Chris and Thelma Slattery and all of the staff of The Waterside House Hotel, who were honoured to have had the chance to welcome both to their hotel – so soon after being inaugurated. The evening went off very well and each and every member of the association were only too thrilled to have had the chance to meet our new President.
